and now for something completely different

i'm teaching two summer courses, right now, online, for the first six-week session. we're only in the opening days, so basically all they've done so far is start posting introductions so we can all get to know each other a bit. imagine my surprise when i learned that one of the women in my class used to work a few odd jobs (as she described them), including working at a mink farm. she also said something about leaving out the details of what she did while she was there, because she had already noticed that many of us are animal lovers. [imagine my sad little face here]
