eating in a new place

i’m heading to an academic conference toward the end of this week, and it’s one of those conferences where several meals are included. when i registered, i contacted the powers that be and asked if there would be vegan options for me, and they were super nice and promised to ensure that i’d be fed. yay! here’s hoping that works out okay.

there are also going to be some meals where i’m on my own, though, which means i’ll be in the wild without much of an idea about where to go. i’m headed to providence, rhode island, so if any of you have good suggestions, please send ’em my way!

  1. Okay, so you’re in luck- if you’re at the convention center, AS220 and the Trinity Brewpub are not more than a few blocks away. If you get food from AS220- let me know how it is- it sounds delicious!!!
    Have a safe trip!

  2. I don’t know about food, but if you’re a tea drinker do stop by Tealuxe on Thayer Street–they have a lot of really tasty tea (& yeah, they do offer soy milk–or they did when I was there).
